Post 40 General Legion meetings will be going quarterly instead of monthly on a trial basis.
Sept 29th. thru Oct 3rd.–CHOWAN COUNTY REGIONAL FAIR
Come support your Fair, volunteer.
Oct. 6th. 6:00pm.–Next General Post Meeting on Tuesday. Sandwiches will be served. Guest speakers, Derence Fivehouse, and John Lillard will be speaking on VA Health and information from the National Convention.
Oct. 6th., 6pm.–Auxiliary Meeting
Oct. 10th. & 11th.–6 Shooters Gun Show
Oct. 13th., 6pm.–SAL Meeting American Legion Fall
Oct. 17th.–Next District 1 Meeting will be held at Post 26 in Manteo.
October 20th.–Fair Volunteer Appreciation Dinner.
Oct. 22nd.-24th.–Conference at the Raleigh Hilton.

​​Oct. 22nd.–EMS BANQUET. Help is always needed for prep, cooking, and plate food for JROTC to deliver.
Oct. 27th.– Chamber of Commerce Members Mixer at Post.
Nov. 11th.–Veterans Day. Looking for suggestions for Guest Speaker.
Nov. 18th., 9-4pm.–Veterans Meet and Greet at Edenton Farmers Market. First 100 Veterans receive a free hot dog combo.
Nov. 26th.–Thanksgiving
Dec. 19th.– Wreaths Across America. DAR will be laying wreaths at Veterans Memorial. More information will be coming.

Donations for the veteran’s hospital have been put on hold due to limited storage space but are accepting new undergarments, socks and ge toy used winter coats. Items can be dropped at the Post or contact Fred Morrow at (732)-239-3801 or

Auxiliary is also collecting toiletries, etc. for Veterans in the local Nursing Homes. Contact Karen Harrington at (252)-435-4324 for further information.
